20th Anniversary Baubles & Beads

20th Annual Event

We are so excited to be back for our 20th annual Baubles & Beads event on Saturday, October 15th, 2022, at the Happy State Bank Expo Hall. Our emporium featuring local vendors opens at 5:00 pm, dinner served at 6:30 pm with program immediately following.  This year we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary of Baubles & Beads.

Started in 2002 to bring breast cancer awareness and education to our community, this annual event has provided more than $550,000 to support local breast cancer patients with financial assistance for screening and diagnostic mammograms, treatment, and medications as well as other community financial support.  Additionally, EWC awards a higher education scholarship of $16,000 paid over four years to a local young woman and has provided over $200,000 in scholarship funds since 1983 supporting 62 area young women.

This year funds raised will replenish our Hope Fund that is administered through Peterson Foundation and covers the cost of screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds and covers the radiology physician’s cost.  We will also replenish our Community Outreach account which provides funding for the cost of treatment and medications, as well as the purchase of gas cards to help with rising transportation costs to medical appointments and treatments.  These programs are cornerstones of our breast cancer support.
